I Brought My Hunting Knife
This work explores a make-believe world based on my own memories of childhood stories and playthings. This, however, is no longer a world quite as safe as the experiences that inspired it. Things are less stable. Through the use of ambiguous situations and implied narrative, the actions of my characters/creatures can never be completely understood by the viewer. The moments presented are also marked by hints of anxiety, violence, and sexuality: feelings not often associated with the idealized view of childhood memories.
